It all began with the “Simple” dream to work with clients in the Talent Acquisition and Job Searching Space. Here is how the Founder of Simplicity Brands/CEO Amy Jennie Barhydt, was birthed in the great state of Texas!

Amy Jennie Barhydt, pronounced (Ah-me Jen-knee Bar-Height) was born at 10:58 am CST June 25th, 1994 at a Hospital in Dallas, TX (St. Paul) to a hard-working businessman, David Scott Barhydt, and her mother, Dekorah Jennie Barhydt. Amy Jennie Barhydt has resided in Flower Mound, TX, a small suburb north of the International Airport (DFW International) for over 28+ years. Her hometown is known for beautiful Blue Bonnets, the official flower of Texas.

Amy Jennie Barhydt was raised in a Faith-Based Christian family. She was home-educated through the Abeka Book Curriculum through Pensacola Christian University for pre-school to High School Graduation, she tried to participate in public education from 4th to 6th grade only to find it lacking topics of her interest. Amy Jennie Barhydt is an avid book reader, writer, journalist, and self-taught bookworm. Given the opportunity to learn at home was favorable and Dekorah Jennie Barhydt added materials with topics including Economics, Business Law for Students, Tax Software Training, and other useful life skills.

Amy Jennie Barhydt was baptized at the age of 7 on Sunday, September 17th at Sunday Service at First Baptist Church Lewisville in Lewisville, TX by the Preacher Dr. Steven Hatfield. Amy Jennie Barhydt was raised by her two loving Christian parents and was terrified after being in Disneyland on September 11th, 2001. She recalls watching the second tower and asking herself, “Why such evil in my home country?”

In her teen years, Amy Jennie Barhydt volunteered at the local library, Flower Mound Public Library for the Summer in High School. She loved the Anima, Non-Fiction Business, Fiction Business, True-Crime, and Economic Fiction Business Books. Amy Jennie Barhydt also enjoyed volunteering at Presbyterian Hospital in Flower Mound’s gift shop and the local retirement center, Rambling Oaks Retirement Community located in Highland Village, TX. She learned her life skills from the silent generation, military veterans, women who voted for business rights in the 1960’s and other amazing community heroes.

After graduating from her private education program, Amy Jennie Barhydt enrolled at the local community college, Dallas College. Later to complete her degree in 2024 in an Associates of Arts program online.

Amy Jennie Barhydt joined the workforce at the young, bright, ambitious age of 14 years old. She started her own neighborhood “Dog Walking” service and assisted her mom at simple data entry. At the age of 18 years old, she accepted her first call center job learning how to operate multiple software applications at once while technical troubleshooting with customers. She later took multiple contract positions in different corporate offices as an Admin in Legal/Compliance, Accounting/Finance, and Insurance. She found her career path in recruitment at a local woman-owned small business in Addison, TX in 2014 working as a candidate coordinator.

On May 1, 2017 she opened up her own company, Simplicity Brands Llc with former MBR, Alexander Mondlock. Simplicity Brands Llc is a Woman-Owned Small Business with a focus in Staffing, Recruiting, and Direct Hire Placement. Focused in Recruitment with Direct-hire only and project-based services (Resume Writing, Career Coaching 1:1, LinkedIn Optimization, Strategy Development & Business Planning Services.)

Together they built a Llc in Downtown Dallas, at the former WeWork located in ThanksGiving Tower. He left the recruitment company on January 22, 2019, to pursue his passion for music and working with students at DCI. Amy Jennie Barhydt decided to integrate Simplicity Brands Llc into a virtual-only company and later onboarded COO/Managing Member, Dekorah Jennie Barhydt. The logo is the owner’s cat, Melody Scott Barhydt (2000 – 2019) and the new mascots are Spenser Zuccarello Barhydt (2018 – Present) and Sofi Catalina Barhydt (2022 – Present).
